I have to wonder what's in the sausage that they are basically paying people to take it away faster.

When you exit the New Jersey Turnpike at exit 9 to switch over to route 1, there is the following sign:

YOU HAVE LEFT THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE. PLEASE OBSERVE ALL LOCAL SPEED LIMITS.

...as if you weren't required to observe the speed limits on the NJ Turnpike.
